the winds might be changing

For a couple of years now the absolute favorite cartoon character for the boys has been Lightning McQueen. They don't even watch the movie that much but they love the character. Now the winds of change might be in the air. The boys have seen a few previews for the new pixar movie Wall-E and they are freaking out excited. I told the boys earlier this week that we will be going to see the movie this weekend and now they can't stop talking about the movie... and they haven't even seen it yet. They ask me just about every day if it is time to see the movie. Both the boys are imitating the character and they are making the noises that he makes. "Cars" was the first movie that we took William to in the theater. "Wall-e" will be the first movie that we will be taking Andrew to in a movie theater. This should be interesting. William was three for his first movie and Andrew will be 2 and a half, but I think he is a little more ready for the theater experience. Hopefully seeing this movie won't require me to redecorate any bedrooms. I am trying not to read any reviews to taint my movie going experience. Stay tuned for a movie review.

Hogan-Pixar house. Welcome. This is the Monsters, Inc. room and to the left Lightning McQueen room. Last, but not least, we have Wall-E on all the walls.

Not just Disney anymore.

So you want comments? O.K., I'll add some
First of all for the 2 or 3 people that read this, I am Dave's Dad. My wife Betty and I live in the sunny South, while my boys shovel snow up north.
Anyhow, for what it is worth, this past week was lot of fun for us. Our good friends Larry and Liz got the use of a Condo on the beach in Panama City, Fl., so we packed up and went down there as it is only a 3 hour drive from where we live.
Panama City has really changed over the past 5 years. For a long time is was mostly small motels all along the beach. Now you can hardly see the beach for the Condo's. While it is a great place for spring break for the kids, it is even better when they aren't there.
They have build a Shopping Center
in the past year that I havent been there and again modern times have caught up to Panama City. They have a Dillards Dept Store, a J.C. Penny and Target. Also it has a whole 2 blocks of unique stores and resturants, including a Jimmy Buffet Margaritaville. Of course, we went there first and the line all evening was out the door. Other resturants like the Back Porch also were doing good business. The weather every day was 90 degrees and never rained. We would go for a beach walk in the morning and then I would jump in the pool. The gulf was nice and warm, about 85 degrees but the seaweed worked it way to shore.
On another day, Larry and Liz have this list of "1000" things to do before we die or something like that, and one of the things was an airboat ride. We found a place on the back bay and went for about an hour drive, lots of fun.
So that was my week. Just want my son to see he inherited his "blogging" stuff from his Irish Dad.

That's it, Hand is getting tired.
